Intel International Science and Engineering Fair 2006

Request for judges at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Indianapolis, IN May 7-13, 2006

Hello Indiana AAPT members,

This year the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair will be hosted in Indianapolis from May 7-13, 2006.  Andy Gavrin of IUPUI and I have volunteered to be the physics section co-chairs.  Each of us has to recruit 10 to 15 judges.  We would like to invite you to volunteer to judge at this year’s fair.  If you decide to volunteer, you will need to register at the following web site www.intelisef2006.org.

Requirements for being a judge follow:

Judges should have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent, or a minimum of six years related professional experience beyond receiving their BA, BS, or Masters Degrees. Judges may include university faculty and scientists, industrial engineers and scientists, representatives of private and federal research centers and agencies, and medical researchers.  Individuals who are affiliated science fair directors, ISEF Official Party members, or elementary, secondary or high school teachers ARE NOT eligible to serve as ISEF judges.

If you have any questions, you can email me at tduman@uindy.edu

Sincerely,

Tim Duman
